I've been seeing an advertisement on TV for the Verizon Droid, a new phone coming out that suppose to be better then the I-Phone.

Now every year it seems before Christmas time, Verizon tries to release an I-Phone killer, but they failed the past few years.  I think this time they have a chance since they are using Google's Android 2.0 operating system.

I got bored, so instead of bothering to look at the wiki article to figure out what the new phones site's count down said, I took the time to figure it out what numbers the funky symbols stood for.  If you want to see what symbol equals what number, look at this. Turns out they are going to release more info on the phone (or release the phone, not sure which) on October 28, 2009 at midnight.

Here is a side by side comparison of what we do know about the Droid and the I-Phone

Yes I also took the time to make this as well

I'm thinking the Droid is better from the looks of it, its memory can be expanded to a lot more then the I-Phone's larger model is.  The camera is better, Screen is bigger, oh and you can get a whole lot more on your phone... free.

Yes I'm admittedly very anti-Mac products, but I think this phone speaks for its self so far.  We will see more on October 28th, but in the mean time, tell me if you think that it will kill the I-Phone, not make a dent in I-Phone sales, or sell about the same.

I've personally never trusted Apple, I had to fix so many when I was in middle school it disgusted me.

I really liked the HTD HD 2 when I first saw the ad for it. Though, since there's been no announcement for the company it'll go with, I'm going to have to go with the Droid. The rechargeable battery sold me. That, and Verizon has better service. Open source is also helpful.

I'm still stuck with Nextel for another half year though, so... yeah. Tongue
